In the town where Duuvdar was born a sailor who early on conveyed to the young, impressionable boy a fantastic tale of his life aboard a gnomish underwater craft which had, for reasons Duuvdar never fully understood, been painted yellow. The tale stuck with the lad and he turned it into a song. Sadly, 'Yellow Gnomish Underwater Traveling Contraption' was not well received and as a songwriter, Duuvdar faded into utter obscurity. The original copy of the song was supposedly carried off by scarabs.
